▷ First Impressions ▶ VISUAL: Rocket is 3'0 tall and very scrawny to the point of looking a little underfed (for a raccoon). His fur is russet brown and shabby and his eyes are a rust-red color. He has two metal brackets on either side of his chest which are exposed bits of his cybernetic skeletal system, meant to connect his artificial clavicle and scapula to his rib cage. He is always wearing a one piece jumpsuit with body armor worn on his back that has a specialized magnet he can hook his guns to. He does not wear shoes. ▶ AURAL: Rocket speaks with a pronounced Philly accent, despite being from nowhere near Philly. Here is a sample. He is usually very loud and excitable and usually sounds annoyed by something. ▶ OLFACTORY: Rocket doesn't bathe nearly as much as he should, so he kind of constantly has the smell of dirty fur, mixed with engine grease and the faint ozone stench of laser fire. Really sharp-nosed people will smell the metal in him. ▶ DEMEANOUR: Rocket carries himself like he's bigger than he is to the point where, even if you have to look down to see him, he still seems to loom larger than life by being a foul-mouthed, trash-talking little jerk. He constantly exuding an air of confidence and rarely shrinks back for anything. It's mostly an act, but it's a very convincing one.

Usual tagging times/pace: EST; I try to clear my inbox on my days off (usually Tuesday/Thursday) and tag in the mornings before my shift. I RARELY leave anything in my inbox for over three days, but if you want me to focus on a certain thread, I can bash it out pretty quickly.

Backtagging: Yes.

Fourthwalling policy: Keep it vague, if at all possible.

Action vs. Prose: No preference! I end up writing a lot of meaty tags in action spam anyway....

Offensive Subjects & Triggers: Nope. I can handle anything.


IC PERMISSIONS

Physical Violence: Rocket's entire life is a series of violence caused to him and by him. I'll push the envelope.

Mental Information: Anything! Rocket won't like it if he knows it's happening, but that's not gonna stop anyone. His head is a really sad place though, so... I'm sorry for that.

Physical Affection: Rocket DOES NOT LIKE to be touched without permission. He will bite. That said, if you wanna pet him or hug him, that's awesome. He needs pets and hugs. I just can't promise he won't react poorly to it most of the time.

IC Triggers: Hoo boy. I don't mind if people bring any of these up, but it's one of those things where it will bring up some unpleasantness, so if you're OOC-ly uncomfortable with animal abuse/experimentation, do so at your own risk.

That said: Hospitals/clinics/laboratories make him severely uncomfortable, the smell of antiseptic nauseates him, he gets severely agitated around cages, will panic around the sight of needles/surgical equipment, and if you talk about doing experiments on living things, he might actually shoot you.

Touching him unexpectedly- especially if you come at him from behind or touch the back of his neck- will cause him to bite first, ask questions later.

On a LESS extreme note, he will get irrationally angry if you treat him like a lower lifeform or call him names or make him out to be a joke or a novelty. This is less a traditional trigger, and more "something that will make him lose his goddamn mind and might actually punch you or threaten to shoot you." He can dish out a lot, but he can't take it. He can be talked down from this, though.

Relationships: No romantic relationships. But dear god please make friends with him- he needs friends/family to live, otherwise he'll just cling to the other Guardians and hiss and spit at everyone else. That said, he is EXTREMELY difficult to get along with most days. He's trying to do better!! Sorta.
