Also, there's this holiday called Christmas? and I figured you'd hate that so I got you something for the New Year since it should be coming up.

[Rocket opens it a crack, just enough that Quill can get in and he can shove the box he has to use as a stepstool out of the way. No one needs to know he can't reach the door handle.]

It ain't like I know that much, anyway. A lot of it is shit I just figured out while I was stuck on the other side.

[His room is a mess of machine parts and dismantled things. Despite his wariness about magic, he has been asking the closet for things like microwaves and easily broken down equipment to bypass the fact that it won't give him anything super specific. It's less like a room and more like a junkshop with a bed in the corner, which incidentally is the only place to sit besides Rocket's workbench, which is tailored to his size.]

Depends on what the problem is, but if Jean sent you, I got a good idea what it'll probably be.

My name is Armin Arlert. I recently arrived here from the same world as Jean, but my gear was broken just before I came here. Jean said you might be capable of creating a duplicate of his gear.

That is exactly what I thought it was. [an exaggerated sigh] And lemme guess. No improvements on the design?

Uhm. Jean said you were able to make his gear run for days at a time.

[How Armin doesn't quite understand, but Jean would've had no reason to lie about that, and in any case, he isn't even sure where they'd be able to get gas from in this place.]

Would that be possible for mine too?

If I can do it once, I can do it again, no problem. Not that you guys ever have a chance to use 'em, but, eh. It's always nice to be prepared. You never know when the Jabberwocky's gonna come back.
